C1 – Short-term  Staff training

The short-term staff training (C1) of the European Erasmus+ SCHOOL project “Robotics4Deaf: Robotics through sign language: Ensuring access and engagement of students with disabilities (deaf or with hearing impairment) to the digital world of coding and robotics” was held online between the 6th and 8th of July 2021 and was completed with great success!

The participants had the opportunity to be informed about the project and the projects’ results.
Additionally, the consortium presented the e-Learning platform as well as its functionalities such as:

  • e-Academy: The education material of the project
  • e-Community: A forum where experts, teachers, and learners can register, communicate, exchange ideas and provide guidance and support
  • e-DataBank: Various resources, tools, EU and National Reports are available
  • e-Assessment: A validation and assessment method to share Open Badges earned from the Robotics4Deaf project.


During the C1 training, the coordinator of the project (SAN – University of Social Sciences) presented a brief overview of the project’s purpose and aims as well as the TOOLKIT designed for the implementation of the Robotics4Deaf training programme. In addition, Rezeknes Tehnologiju Akademija presented the e-learning platform and the Open Badges Eco-System (https://robotics4deaf.rta.lv/). The learning module and the scenarios were presented by Emphasys Centre and NCSR Demokritos. At the end of the training, the participants had an open discussion about the programme and they evaluate and gave feedback for the whole C1 training activity.
